This week we will continue to find surface area of three-dimensional figures using nets. Students will be using nets to show the specific dimensions and calculate the area of each individual face. We will also be moving into volume the second half of the week. In sixth grade, students are only responsible for calculating the volume of rectangular prisms, however, students also need to understand how volume connects to the "real world".
