No new assigments this week. Gradebook should be up-to-date before break on Wednesday!
This week we will begin connecting decimals to fractions and percents. Students will transition to comparing, ordering, and converting within the three skills. After break, we will have a more in depth exploration of percents.
There is no Castle Learning homework this week. Homework for all classes will be to have an IxL score greater than 80 on L.8 - Dividing fraction word problems. Also by the end of the week students should have all assignments up to date. I am still in need of M&M's for an activity that we will be completing next week. Any donations are greatly appreciated! This week we will be dividing decimals. Students need to be able read a word problem and identify which number must come first in an equation. This is very similar to our fraction unit that we are coming off of.
Homework this week is Castle Learning - Decimals Week Two, and SchoolNet - November Review. Friday will be our second six week assessment in math. The November Review is a great tool to use for review as it includes everything that will be on the test with the exception of Decimals. In a couple of weeks we will be doing a project using M&M's. If you are able to send in any of the larger bags of multi-colored M&M's (not the Christmas colored bags) it would be a huge help. |
